Taking Your Experiences to Others
We get to the end of this book, which I hope you've been inspired by, as I was as I read it.
And I want to finish by telling you how this story ended up affecting the lives of many more than just Melissa and Doctor Seth.
Divine Connections
Because you see, a few months after the successful surgery, Doctor Seth was with one of his kids on a school trip and bumped into somebody and started chatting. It turns out this person worked with Wounded Warriors, which is an organization for soldiers who come back from war hurt. And of course, a lot of them come back as amputees. Amazing that he would meet this person out of the blue like this. Again, another God moment, surely.
Doctor Seth invited him for dinner and told him everything that he did for Melissa. And soon Doctor Seth was invited to Washington to go and speak to the people in the military so that this technology that he’d learnt about through this one operation could be used for so many other people. Incredible how God ended up orchestrating this whole thing!
Share Your Story
Here's the point. Don't just do things for yourself. Maybe God does something amazing in your life. Well, how many other people out there need to hear your story, need to receive the same help you received?
Could it be that the pain you're going through now and the difficulties you're going through now will help somebody else one day?
Well, I say, “could it be” - I mean, they will if you let them. Melissa ended up going through this whole ordeal, and because of it, so many other people would be helped through their similar ordeals.
Purpose in Pain
Look for ways to use your suffering for good. Look for ways to use your difficulties to help others. It could just be that you go for coffee with somebody who went through something similar to you and help them through it. It could be more than that. But whatever you do, don't keep it all to yourself.
However God has worked in your life, spread it so that other people can receive it too.
